What is the National Disability Insurance Scheme?

Short-Term Accommodation / Respite

The National Disability Insurance Scheme is a prolific initiative taken by the Government of Australia that provides adequate funding to individuals with a permanent or significant disability so that they may gain more time with their family and friends and acquire greater autonomy over their lives so as to access better skill-sets, newer job opportunities or even volunteering facilities within their community for an enhanced standard of living.

The NDIS Scheme connects all Australians with a disability with proper support services within their community by registered NDIS provider Ryde. This provides them with an inclusive environment wherein they can access schools, community groups, sporting institutions, support groups and libraries as well. The NDIS Scheme also outlines the kind of support each state and territory is liable to provide and, according to the service providers, formulate plans and services to respond to the needs of all such individuals.

Currently, nearly 4.3 million Australians are suffering from some form of disability. However, the NDIS will be able to provide an estimated number of 500,000 Australians with permanent disabilities with sufficient aid and support services within the next five years. This might be the first time that some of these individuals ever receive any support for their disabilities. For Better Care is a registered NDIS Disability Support Services Ryde that caters to all the needs of the participants and follows the guidelines provided under the Scheme.
